Across 22+ years, PAVING has delivered hundreds of complex procurement projects for Bangladesh’s defence and government institutions. Below are five representative projects that demonstrate the breadth of our capabilities.
1. CNC Spring Coiling Machine — Bangladesh Army (2024)
Client: Bangladesh Army
Scope: Supply and installation of a precision CNC Spring Coiling Machine for ordnance manufacturing operations.
Partner: Repkon Machineries (Turkey)
Outcome: This capital equipment procurement enabled the Bangladesh Army’s ordnance factories to manufacture precision springs in-house, reducing dependency on imported components and strengthening domestic defence manufacturing capability. The project included factory acceptance testing in Turkey, shipment, installation, commissioning, and operator training.
2. Small Arms Firing Simulators — Bangladesh Army & Navy (2016, 2023)
Client: Bangladesh Army and Bangladesh Navy
Scope: Supply, installation, and commissioning of indoor small arms firing simulator systems for marksmanship training.
Partner: Noptel (Finland)
Outcome: Delivered across multiple phases, these simulator systems dramatically reduced live ammunition consumption while enabling year-round indoor training. The laser-based systems provide instant feedback on accuracy, trigger control, and shooting technique — allowing soldiers and sailors to achieve higher proficiency levels at a fraction of the cost of live-fire training.
3. Heavy-Duty Bomb Suits & EOD Equipment — Bangladesh Army (2015–2023)
Client: Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Police, RAB
Scope: Multi-year supply of heavy-duty and light-duty bomb disposal suits, bomb locators, bomb disrupters, EOD robots, post-blast investigation kits, and hook & line kits.
Partner: Westminster International (UK)
Outcome: PAVING has been the primary EOD equipment supplier to Bangladesh’s military and law enforcement for nearly a decade. Our comprehensive EOD portfolio has equipped bomb disposal teams across the Army, Police, and RAB with world-class protective gear and detection equipment — directly contributing to national counter-terrorism and explosive ordnance disposal capabilities.
4. Detection Dog Training Equipment — RAB (2015)
Client: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)
Scope: Supply of specialized explosives and narcotics detection dog training equipment, training aids, and accessories.
Outcome: This project equipped RAB’s K-9 unit with internationally-standard detection dog training materials, enhancing their capability to detect explosives and narcotics at checkpoints, airports, and during counter-terrorism operations. The training equipment included scent training kits, obstacle courses, and handler training materials.
5. Thermal Imaging & CCTV Surveillance — Armed Forces (2020)
Client: Bangladesh Armed Forces
Scope: Supply, installation, and integration of thermal imaging cameras and CCTV surveillance networks for military installations and border security.
Partner: FLIR Systems (USA)
Outcome: Deployed advanced thermal and visual surveillance systems that provide 24/7 monitoring capability in all weather and lighting conditions. The integrated surveillance network strengthened perimeter security at critical military installations and enhanced border surveillance capability for the Armed Forces.
